Hot Air Balloon Rides Hertfordshire

On the15th of September, 1784 Vincenzo Lunardi landed at Standon Green End in Hertfordshire when he became the first person to fly in the UK. His flight of around 2 and a half hours duration from the grounds of the Honourable Artillery in London took him 24 miles in the company of a dog, a cat and caged pidgeon.

You can emulate Lunardi with Adventure Balloons on hot air balloon flights from Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead, Watford and Tring. Pets and animals cannot however be taken on modern day Hertfordshire balloon rides!
